Financial report for Q4 / 2023

Background

Tuomas Airaksinen Consulting, company of the lead developer, is providing a way to sponsor AndBible development. You can support AndBible development financially via the webshop.

I am reporting in monthly basis the significant numbers in this google sheets document. Now it is time to write first full quarterly report and analyze the results briefly.

Q4 / 2023

During this period, the pricing for sponsored work was 60€ / hour + VAT (VAT is applicable only for EU customers). In the table below, I am summarising Q4 hours and also september (when I started). What I consider eligible as payable development hours is discussed in this blog post.

Observations:

• 👍 Amount of sponsored hours has increased every month. This is encouraging!
• 👎 Still way to go to goal of 4 fully paid working days (30 hours) per month
• In December I was working less on AndBible. 1.13 paid hours was left to be used in January 2024.

Breakdown of tasks (December 2023)

In December, I started timing different tasks so that it is possible to analyze how the hours have been used. Here is the breakdown how paid hours were used:

• Support (help.andbible@gmail.com email mainly): 3.82 hours
• Maintenance tasks (bug fixing etc): 8.03 hours
• New feature development: 2.13 hours

As it can be seen, email support is taking rather a lot of time. That work I have tried to get to volunteers, but still there’s quite a lot of work left for me. I have also tried to make managing this more efficient by having AndBible make as easy-to-process bug reports as possible.

In addition to above mentioned paid work, I was doing unpaid work as follows:

• Youtube videos (Tips & Tricks), advertising, blog: 10.34 hours.
