  • New video: How to use Window Sync Groups in AndBible

    AndBible has had syncable windows (by windows we refer to bible/text panes) almost from the beginning of app, as far as I know correctly. Traditionally until 4.0 it has been possible to either have window synced or non-synced. Now in 5.0 (released in November 2023), I introduced a feature that allows a set windows to be synced together, and other set of windows be synced separately. In this video I’m showing you how to use window sync groups to make it happen.

    One user was pondering how to use speak bookmarks when there are a lot of bookmarks or bookmarks with a lot of labels in a passage already. He was initially trying to add speak label to an existing bookmark with tens of labels. In this video I’m showing how to use speak bookmarks more conveniently in this scenario, i.e. when there is already a lot of bookmarks (possibly with a lot of labels).

  • New video: How save space in Google Drive storage when using Device Synchronization

    When using Device Synchronization to keep multiple devices in sync, AndBible uses some space in Google Drive. That space allocation is incrementally increased as time goes by. That is because every time AndBible uploads a small “patch file” containing new changes to its internal database. Those files are never cleaned up automatically (as of now), but user can rather easily “clean up” it manually, when needed. In this video I’m showing how by resetting reset device sync you can save some space in Google Drive.

    In this video I’ll show how you can set up custom document repositories in AndBible. There are not many custom repositories available at the moment, but users can create those and share them via their own channels as well as our Matrix/Telegram group (as long as they are legal). AndBible supports MyBible custom repositories and Sword repositories.

    Since version 5.0 was released in 2nd November, I have used most of my development time to fix bugs and crashes that have arised since the release.
